DexLab is an international student-led science organisation whose members work online across eight scientific squads in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, programming, astronomy, debate and science communication.
To mark International Moon Day 2026, DexLab is hosting an online session in two parts:
Lunar science lecture — an introductory talk in Arabic and English on the Moon’s geology, the physics of the lunar surface environment, and the science goals of current and planned lunar missions.
Live robotic observation — students operate a robotic telescope to image the Moon, then process and analyse their own data, learning how raw observations become scientific measurements.
The session is free, fully online and open to students from any country. It is designed for participants with no prior background in astronomy, and reflects DexLab’s aim of making space science accessible to students in regions with limited access to observational facilities.
