Eyes on the Moon

This is an open-air public event taking place in the central square of the city of Serres, Greece, on the occasion of International Moon Day. The event is a collaborative initiative of Praxis Greece, Astropyli Serres, and the Serres Association of Physical Sciences, bringing together their expertise and enthusiasm to promote astronomy, science education, and public engagement with the wonders of the night sky. The event aims to inspire curiosity, encourage scientific thinking, and provide an enjoyable learning experience for people of all ages through a variety of interactive activities related to the Moon and space exploration.
Visitors will have the opportunity to:

Observe the Moon and the night sky through telescopes with the guidance of experienced amateur astronomers.

Participate in Moon- and space-themed knowledge games, memory games, and interactive quizzes.

Visit an information point where astronomy enthusiasts and science experts will be available to answer questions and share fascinating facts about the Moon, the Solar System, and the Universe.
