The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO) is partnering with the CYENS Centre of Excellence and supported by Nicosia Municipality to host an Open Day to celebrate IMD at its research centre in Old Nicosia. At 12:00, the ‘Apollo to Artemis’ exhibition created with the support of the US Embassy will open, guiding visitors from the first man on the Moon to the return of mankind 50 years later. The exhibition includes a piece of lunar meteorite that visitors can touch, as well as a Martian rock sample. Starting at 18:00, there will be interactive displays, demonstrations and documentaries marking humanity’s fascination and exploration of the Moon, and the technologies that will help future missions progress. Telescopes will be available from 20:00-22:00 for a closer look at the Moon and its craters.
