Help Us Choose the Theme for International Moon Day 2026!
International Moon Day returns on 20 July 2026, and we need your help to decide its theme. Each year, the IMD programme is built around a unifying theme that guides discussions, panels, and outreach activities.
Past Themes at a Glance
- 2022 – Lunar exploration, coordination and sustainability (Huntsville, USA)
- 2023 – Beginning the new lunar journey for humanity (Gwacheon, South Korea)
- 2024 – Illuminating the shadows (Harbin, China & Rostock, Germany)
- 2025 – One Moon, One Vision, One Future (Dubai, UAE)
Now it’s your turn to shape the conversation for 2026.
Guidelines
- The theme should be broad enough to allow diverse discussions, but focused enough to carry a clear message.
- It should reflect the spirit of International Moon Day: global cooperation, sustainability, inclusiveness, and inspiration.
- You can be practical, visionary, or metaphorical — creativity is welcome!
How to Participate
- Think of a theme that’s inspiring, meaningful, and big enough to bring people together.
- Submit your theme idea through the form
- Deadline: 15 November 2025 (midnight CEST)
- The winning theme will be announced during the 9th Global Moon Village Workshop & Symposium (3–4 December 2025, Turin, Italy).
While You Wait…
You can still organise an International Moon Day Global Event for 2025 — celebrations can be held until 31 October 2025. Bring the celebration to your city and join a worldwide movement!
