Irene Selvanathan founded the NewSpace company NEUROSPACE GmbH based in Berlin in early 2020, developing rovers for the moon. Irene has 8 years of experience in space, as a senior engineer she worked five years for Exolaunch, where she developed key technologies, conducted several missions and launches and was on the launch site at Baikonour Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan and Vostochny, Russia. As a project manager German Orbital Systems, she drove the development of standardized, fast on-orbit verification of hardware in space. For more than two years she worked as a systems engineer and project manager in the aviation company FTI Engineering Network. Irene has a scientific background in the field of GaN electronics from working at a renowned semiconductor institute. She graduated from the Technical University of Berlin with a degree in electrical engineering.
Karl Stolleis, Lockheed Martin
Mr. Stolleis received a Master’s of Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in 2015. During university years he served four semesters as an intern at NASA Kennedy Space Center and in 2014 was awarded the New Mexico New Space Fellowship for science and technology research. After graduation Karl moved on to Lockheed Martin Autonomous Systems working on autonomous driving and robotic systems before moving to the Air Force Research Lab Space Vehicles Directorate. At AFRL Karl served as a Program Manage for Space Logistics and Robotics as well as being an active member of the in-space servicing, assembly and manufacturing (ISAM) community. He was a co-author on the US White House Office of Science and Technology ISAM National Strategy. In 2022 Karl moved to California and re-joined Lockheed Martin as software lead on the Lockheed entry into the NASA Lunar Terrain Vehicle. Karl is currently working a number of international efforts related to lunar mobility as well as enjoying all the grandeur California has to offer.
Frank Koch, Orbit Recycling
Frank Koch is the CEO of Orbit Recycling, which specializes in innovative recycling methods for space debris, with a particular focus on its reuse for future lunar projects. Combining Koch’s expertise with technological advancements in processing regolith, the team has pioneered the field of space debris recycling. Their research, recognized in the Moon Village Association PromoMoon initiative, Luxembourg`s ESRIC Startup Support Program and the German INNOspace Masters 2021, aims to make space exploration more sustainable. Their projects include developing a demonstrator that uses Fresnel lens technology to prepare regolith directly on the lunar surface for habitat construction.
Jim Keravala, OffWorld Inc
Jim Keravala is the co-founder, CEO and Chief Architect of OffWorld and is leading the deployment of a machine learning industrial robotic workforce to undertake mining, manufacturing and construction on planetary surfaces and in space.
