International Moon Day Celebration – CCBB Event

Theme: “Edson the Robot on a Lunar Mission”

Mission Activity: “In Search of the Eagle Landing Site”
To celebrate International Moon Day, we will recreate the iconic moment when the Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon.
• A 2-meter puzzle of the Moon’s surface will be assembled during the event.
• Three robots, including our hero Edson the Robot, will participate in a mission to locate the Eagle’s landing site in the Sea of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis).
• Using remote controls, participants will guide the robots across the puzzle map to reach the exact coordinates of the 1969 landing.
• Children and visitors will be encouraged to participate and help navigate Edson and his fellow robots during their lunar exploration.

Closing Activity: “Moonlight Snapshot”
At the end of the day:
• We will observe and photograph the Moon in the night sky.
• The photo will be shared on our social media channels, honoring this historic day and inspiring young astronomers around the world.
