Join the Global Celebration of International Moon Day
International Moon Day (IMD), officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2021, is celebrated annually on July 20. Established by the Moon Village Association (MVA), this global event aims to raise awareness, foster collaboration, and inspire support for sustainable lunar exploration and utilization.
We invite governments, space agencies, industry, academia, NGOs, and the public to participate by organizing events that highlight the significance of lunar exploration.
By submitting your event, you become part of a global movement that will be reported to the United Nations Committee for the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN-COPUOS) in 2027, ensuring international visibility and recognition.
