Christophe Bosquillon, European, having operated globally as long-term Indo-Pacific resident, has a background in engineering, trade, and foreign direct investment. Experienced with industries relevant to the space domain, such as mining, transportation, energy, manufacturing, agrifood, environment, and digitalization, Chris is committed to developing space resource utilization value chains that benefit the Earth. As an executive, owner, writer, founder of Autonomous Space Futures Ltd, Chris has extensive experience in collaborative policy crafting and works to develop space business and governance models relevant to society. Chris accelerates due diligence processes for founders, venture partners, and investment managers in the pre-seed and seed phase. He facilitates fundraise, merge, later stage investment operations, and consolidating companies that have reached the end of the runway. An MVA member since January 2021, Chris follows the works of the John C. Mankins Lunar Architectural Concepts WG. He is a co-chair of the Lunar Commerce and Economics WG, and of the Benefit Sharing Project under the Adaptive Governance WG. He contributes to the MVA input to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) legal subcommittee Working Group on Space Resources. Chris is a participant in GEGSLA since inception, a member of its 2023-2024 WG3 on ‘Lunar Multistakeholder Governance’, and a contributor to the GEGSLA monthly newsletter. He also revamps MVA’s cross-outreach with Institutional Members. Since 4Q 2023, Chris is Rapporteur and Executive Secretary for the International Moon Day, with an interest in Global South access to space activities. He is keen on Emerging Space Countries and the entry of New-to-Space companies in the space domain. Chris acquired master’s level education in civil engineering (PSL Mines Paritech), business and entrepreneurship (HEC Paris), strategy and defence (Australian National University), digital transformation (misc. AI, blockchain). He holds executive education certificates in Space Resources Utilization (Colorado School of Mines-ISU-LSA) and in Space Economy (EPFL). Since 2021, Chris has focused on space law and governance operational training under MVA and GEGSLA mentorship. Embedded with the MIT Computational Law Report, he has published at the intersection of legal tech and lunar governance, about “safety zones” on the Moon under various levels of systems automation and autonomy. As contributing editor, Chris offers assessments of geopolitical, cultural, and economic transformations, that include relevant digital and space domain components. He is a signatory of the Code of Ethics of the Journalistic Society and thrive for free and open public outreach beyond the traditional space bubble.
