Moon Through My Lens

A single photograph has the power to capture a moment, evoke emotions, and tell a story that words alone cannot. On the occasion of International Moon Day (20 July 2026), Infinity Space Club (UPES Dehradun, India), in collaboration with the Moon Village Association (MVA), invites photography enthusiasts, storytellers, and space lovers to participate in “Moon Through My Lens” – an online photography and storytelling competition that celebrates creativity through the beauty of our closest celestial neighbour.
Participants are invited to capture one original photograph of the Moon using any device of their choice, whether a smartphone or a professional camera. Along with the photograph, they must submit a short story inspired by the image. The story may be fiction or non-fiction, reflecting the participant’s own thoughts, memories, emotions, experiences, or imagination inspired by the Moon.
The competition aims to encourage participants to look beyond the Moon as an astronomical object and explore the stories, emotions, and perspectives it inspires. By combining photography with creative writing, this initiative seeks to foster a meaningful connection between science, art, and human expression while celebrating the universal fascination with Earth’s only natural satellite.
