DESCRIPTION:International Moon Day Celebration – CCBB EventDate: July 20Location: Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB)Theme: “Edson the Robot on a Lunar Mission” \nMission Activity: “In Search of the Eagle Landing Site”To celebrate International Moon Day\, we will recreate the iconic moment when the Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon.• A 2-meter puzzle of the Moon’s surface will be assembled during the event.• Three robots\, including our hero Edson the Robot\, will participate in a mission to locate the Eagle’s landing site in the Sea of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis).• Using remote controls\, participants will guide the robots across the puzzle map to reach the exact coordinates of the 1969 landing.• Children and visitors will be encouraged to participate and help navigate Edson and his fellow robots during their lunar exploration. \nClosing Activity: “Moonlight Snapshot”At the end of the day:• We will observe and photograph the Moon in the night sky.• The photo will be shared on our social media channels\, honoring this historic day and inspiring young astronomers around the world. \nEducational Goals• Promote awareness of lunar exploration and its historical importance.• Stimulate curiosity about science\, space\, and robotics.• Encourage collaborative learning and hands-on interaction through playful and educational activities.
