DESCRIPTION:ENGLISH TEXT BELOW\nMezinárodní den Měsíce (schválený organizací OSN) je každoroční událost\, která se koná pro širokou veřejnost a slaví se okolo 20. července. Na tento den totiž připadá výročí prvního přistání člověka na Měsíci\, které v roce 1969 uskutečnila posádka americké kosmické mise Apollo 11. Tento den je zároveň oslavou neutuchající fascinace lidstva Měsícem – naším nejbližším nebeským sousedem a symbolem objevů. Měsíc vždy vzbuzoval zvědavost a ambice\, od starověkých mýtů až po přistání v programu Apollo a budoucí lunární mise. S Hvězdárnou a planetáriem Brno můžete být opět u toho! \nPřednášky a následná panelová diskuse v sále velkého planetária (189 míst k sezení): \nMgr. Přesto to byl právě Měsíc\, který po staletí utvářel naše poznání vesmíru. Od prvních pokusů změřit vzdálenosti ve vesmíru\, přes potvrzení Einsteinovy teorie relativity až po naděje spojené s budoucím výzkumem. Přednáška nabídne pohled na roli Měsíce v dějinách astronomie a výzkumu Sluneční soustavy. \nIng. Bude ale ve znamení vlajky americké\, nebo čínské? Jaký je „letový řád“ pilotovaných letů na Měsíc\, jak bude vypadat technika pro jejich realizaci\, kdo všechno je do přípravy „nového malého kroku“ zapojený? This day marks the anniversary of the first human landing on the Moon\, which was carried out in 1969 by the crew of the American space mission Apollo 11. This day is also a celebration of humanity’s unceasing fascination with the Moon – our closest celestial neighbor and a symbol of discovery. The Moon has always aroused curiosity and ambition\, from ancient myths to the Apollo landings and future lunar missions. With the Brno Observatory and Planetarium\, you can be there again! \nLectures and subsequent panel discussion in the large planetarium hall (189 seats): \nMgr. Pavel GabzdylBrno Observatory and PlanetariumObservatories without the Moon \nToday’s astronomers often avoid the Moon – it interferes with observations and does not fit into their research plans. Yet it was the Moon that shaped our understanding of the universe for centuries. From the first attempts to measure distances in space\, through the confirmation of Einstein’s theory of relativity\, to the hopes associated with future research. The lecture will offer a look at the role of the Moon in the history of astronomy and research into the Solar System. \nIng. Tomáš Přibylpopularizer of space explorationA new small step \nFive out of six inhabitants of this planet were born after 1969 and did not experience the legendary conquest of the Moon by Apollo 11. But now they have the chance to witness a repetition of this historical event\, because the return of man to our natural satellite will take place later this decade. But will it be under the sign of the American or Chinese flag? What is the “flight schedule” of manned flights to the Moon\, what will the technology for their implementation look like\, who is involved in the preparation of the “new small step”? Many questions\, many – often surprising – answers. \nMgr. Petr Brož\, Ph.D.Institute of Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech RepublicThe Moon through the Eyes of a Geologist \nWhat do we know about the origin and evolution of the Moon? And how do we know it? What did the samples brought back by the Apollo astronauts and some probes reveal to us? Why are the near and far sides of the Moon so different? Is the Moon a geologically dead body today\, or is something still happening there? And what other questions in lunar research still remain unanswered and how can we find answers to them? We will look at this together as part of a talk dedicated to the geology of the Moon! \nAnd be careful\, at the end of International Moon Day 2025\, we will screen a fulldome projection called Up to the Moon!
