DESCRIPTION:In this webinar\, we will explore the significance of Moon Day and examine the astropolitical landscape surrounding lunar activities. We will then delve into recent legal developments\, focusing on the Initial Draft of the Set of Recommended Principles for Space Resource Activities\, presented by the Working Group on Legal Aspects of Space Resource Activities during the May 2025 session of the Legal Subcommittee. The perspectives of UNCOPUOS member states and observer organizations on this draft will be shared and discussed. Finally\, we will assess the relevance of these ongoing discussions—both political and legal—for Türkiye’s role in lunar exploration and governance.
