SUMMARY:International Moon Day – Brazil
DESCRIPTION:Our world is plural and diverse: multiple cultures\, backgrounds\, beliefs\, needs\, and aspirations. \nOn any given topic\, many perspectives may emerge. Space exploration is no exception to this rule. But when we consider sharing an environment\, it is essential that we agree\, at least\, on the path we will walk together. So it will be with lunar exploration. \nTherefore\, to build a sustainable and prosperous presence on the Moon\, with a shared vision\, we must listen to the broadest range of voices and sectors. \nTo inhabit the Moon\, we should not look outward\, but inward—at ourselves. Who we are\, what we need to do\, and how we will act as a social group beyond Earth. \nThis is the key to an internationally inclusive lunar future. And this is the purpose of our event: to listen\, to understand\, and to collaborate so that together we may have One Moon\, One Vision\, and One Future. \n\n\nStream on Youtube\n\n\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUFAGKJMFJg

SUMMARY:Internationnal MoonDay Connection from ExoSpaceHab Express Moon Base
DESCRIPTION:We performed a moonbase simulation in July and August and on 21th of July our crew commander Pauline ROBLIN will adress collaborators from moon village worldwide\, including with Nanjing Aerospace University and ILEWG. \nThe ExoSpaceHab Express project recreates a small lunar base\, within which it is possible to conduct simulations of space missions with a crew of maximum 4 people. The lunar base houses all the typical areas of the future bases that we could see on the Moon (and in perspective on Mars!): a living area (which includes a small living space\, the personal crew districts and toilets)\, a laboratory area (where to carry out scientific experiments and use the instruments)\, large storage areas for resources\, an area dedicated to sports (since astronauts are required to practice sports for about two hours a day to maintain health in a small area.

At a structural level\, the lunar base consists of an area recreated inside a Weinsberg caravan\, which has been totally transformed\, and an inflatable area\, which “embraces” the caravan externally and which doubles its useful volume internally.

SUMMARY:FARI E SFARI DI LUNA

SUMMARY:Mezinárodní den Měsíce 2025 – Měsíc jako symbol poznání a velkých výzev
\n——————————- \nENGLISH\nInternational Moon Day (approved by the UN) is an annual event held for the general public and celebrated around July 20. This day marks the anniversary of the first human landing on the Moon\, which was carried out in 1969 by the crew of the American space mission Apollo 11. This day is also a celebration of humanity’s unceasing fascination with the Moon – our closest celestial neighbor and a symbol of discovery. The Moon has always aroused curiosity and ambition\, from ancient myths to the Apollo landings and future lunar missions. With the Brno Observatory and Planetarium\, you can be there again! \nLectures and subsequent panel discussion in the large planetarium hall (189 seats): \nMgr. Pavel GabzdylBrno Observatory and PlanetariumObservatories without the Moon \nToday’s astronomers often avoid the Moon – it interferes with observations and does not fit into their research plans. Yet it was the Moon that shaped our understanding of the universe for centuries. From the first attempts to measure distances in space\, through the confirmation of Einstein’s theory of relativity\, to the hopes associated with future research. The lecture will offer a look at the role of the Moon in the history of astronomy and research into the Solar System. \nIng. Tomáš Přibylpopularizer of space explorationA new small step \nFive out of six inhabitants of this planet were born after 1969 and did not experience the legendary conquest of the Moon by Apollo 11. But now they have the chance to witness a repetition of this historical event\, because the return of man to our natural satellite will take place later this decade. But will it be under the sign of the American or Chinese flag? What is the “flight schedule” of manned flights to the Moon\, what will the technology for their implementation look like\, who is involved in the preparation of the “new small step”? Many questions\, many – often surprising – answers. \nMgr. Petr Brož\, Ph.D.Institute of Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech RepublicThe Moon through the Eyes of a Geologist \nWhat do we know about the origin and evolution of the Moon? And how do we know it? What did the samples brought back by the Apollo astronauts and some probes reveal to us? Why are the near and far sides of the Moon so different? Is the Moon a geologically dead body today\, or is something still happening there? And what other questions in lunar research still remain unanswered and how can we find answers to them? We will look at this together as part of a talk dedicated to the geology of the Moon! \nAnd be careful\, at the end of International Moon Day 2025\, we will screen a fulldome projection called Up to the Moon! (in Czech\, duration 26 minutes).

SUMMARY:Adapting Lunar and Martian Soil for Plant Growth
DESCRIPTION:Transforming lunar and Martian soil for agriculture is essential for sustainable space exploration. Lunar regolith lacks organic matter and nitrogen\, while Martian soil contains toxic perchlorates. Key strategies include enriching soils with fertilizers\, removing toxins (e.g.\, washing perchlorates)\, and introducing microbes to enhance nutrient cycling. Hydroponics and genetic engineering may supplement traditional methods. Experiments with simulants show promise\, but challenges like low gravity\, radiation\, and soil structure remain. Overcoming these barriers could enable future colonies to grow crops\, reducing reliance on Earth. Research continues to optimize plant growth in extraterrestrial environments. To this end\, Sichuan University will organize in-person talks on this topic.
