SUMMARY:"From the International Space Station to the Lunar Space Station: Italy's Key Role and Opportunities for Latin America"
DESCRIPTION:Participation in the WSW is part of IILA’s initiatives in the field of science and space diplomacy\, including the noteworthy “Meeting of Space Agencies of IILA Member Countries\,” now in its fourth year\, and the project to build the first satellite mission by two IILA countries\, Panama and the Dominican Republic. It offers an opportunity to explore humanity’s journey to live sustainably and long-lastingly\, first in orbit and then on the lunar surface\, aiming one day to reach Mars. This journey\, through the use of innovative technologies that seek to make space a safe habitat\, with careful attention to astronauts’ needs and comfort\, allows them to face and overcome increasingly challenging challenges\, bringing to reality scenarios that were only a dream until recently. Space technologies have also opened up possibilities for a more sustainable future on our planet\, with positive implications for Latin American countries as well.

SUMMARY:Moon Architecture FORUM Series - Episode 1: Moon Village – From Vision to Reality – What’s Next?
DESCRIPTION:The Architectural Concepts Working Group of the Moon Village Association aims to foster an interdisciplinary platform for exploring architectural strategies\, technology and standards enabling solutions as well as spatial concepts for a future Moon Village. The group brings together expertise from architecture\, engineering\, human factors\, environmental and social sciences\, and related fields to address key challenges from multiple perspectives. Through regular thematic forums\, the Working Group will focus on specific topics—ranging from habitat design and construction to environmental constraints and human experience in extreme environments. \n\n\n\nThe objective is to encourage open exchange\, critical discussion\, and the integration of diverse viewpoints in order to develop holistic and forward-looking architectural approaches that contribute to the broader Moon Village vision and strengthen collaboration across MVA Working Groups and to provide actionable concepts to the international community. \n\n\n\nAs part of this initiative\, the Architectural Concepts Working Group is launching the Moon Architecture FORUM Series — a recurring online forum dedicated to discussion\, knowledge exchange\, and future-oriented thinking around lunar architecture and habitation. Each forum will focus on a dedicated theme and provide a space for interdisciplinary interchange\, serious discussion\, speculative thinking\, and the sharing of ideas\, research\, and experiences. The forum is intended as an open platform to collectively explore future directions and move the conversation forward\, and takes place on a quarterly basis. \n\n\n\nThe first forum is held under the theme:“Moon Village – From Vision to Reality – What’s Next?”It will take place on MOONday\, 13 July\, at 5:00 PM (CET). \n\n\n\nThis inaugural forum will explore different opinions\, philosophies\, and concepts surrounding the original idea of the Moon Village\, tracing how the vision of a human presence on the Moon has evolved through contributions from space agencies\, architects\, engineers\, researchers\, designers\, and thinkers across disciplines. \n\n\n\nRather than treating the Moon Village as a fixed concept\, the discussion approaches it as an open and evolving framework shaped by diverse interpretations — ranging from technological and infrastructural solutions to cultural\, social\, architectural\, and philosophical perspectives on future lunar life. \n\n\n\nOpen Call for short presentations – Deadline 30th of June\n\n\n\nIn addition to invited contributions\, the forum includes an open call for short presentations (10 minutes). Researchers\, professionals\, students\, practitioners\, and interdisciplinary thinkers are invited to submit an abstract of up to 500 words presenting ideas\, research\, projects\, or speculative concepts related to the Moon Village theme. \n\n\n\nSelected contributions will be invited for short presentations during the symposium. \n\n\n\nmoon.architecture@moonvillageassociation.org

SUMMARY:Luna e Psiche: Ritmi\, Visioni\, Futuri

SUMMARY:Frontier Business Consortium Symposium 2026
DESCRIPTION:Space development toward the moon\, Cis-Lunar\, and Mars is becoming increasingly active both domestically and internationally as a “future” market that is expected to develop in the medium to long term. In response to this situation\, Mitsubishi Research Institute\, Inc. and ispace\, Inc. launched the “Frontier Business Consortium” at the end of 2016 with the aim of playing a leading role without lagging behind the global trend. Currently\, about 50 companies from various industries\, from large companies to startups\, are participating.\nOver the past decade since its establishment\, lunar development has seen increasing activity driven by both public and private sector players. In Japan as well\, in addition to initiatives such as the Space Strategy Fund\, private-sector-led projects are rapidly accelerating.\nAgainst this backdrop of growing global momentum toward commercialization led by private actors\, this symposium will look back on the achievements and knowledge accumulated to date\, and explore the future vision for the next decade as the field transitions from conceptual planning to implementation and commercialization phases.\nWe warmly invite companies interested in new space-related business opportunities to participate in this symposium.
