SUMMARY:Moon Frequencies: A Digital Art Exhibition Celebrating International Moon Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Moon Village Association Vienna\, Moon Frequencies is a digital art exhibition by Rachel Jag that celebrates the cultural\, scientific\, and imaginative significance of the Moon. Marking International Moon Day 2026\, the exhibition explores how contemporary digital art can deepen public engagement with humanity’s past achievements and future aspirations in space. \n\n\n\nDrawing inspiration from lunar exploration\, astronomy\, and the evolving vision of a sustainable human presence beyond Earth\, the exhibition features a collection of digital works that examine themes of discovery\, innovation\, resilience\, and our enduring connection to the Moon. Through dynamic visual language\, the artworks invite audiences to reflect on the Moon as both a physical destination for exploration and a universal symbol of curiosity\, creativity\, and shared human ambition. \n\n\n\nBy bringing together art and space science\, Moon Frequencies encourages dialogue across disciplines and generations\, demonstrating how artistic expression can complement scientific achievement and inspire new perspectives on humanity’s future in space. The exhibition serves as a tribute to international cooperation\, innovation\, and the collective pursuit of knowledge that International Moon Day represents. \n\n\n\n\nInternational Moon Day

SUMMARY:Farah Law School’s 4th Virtual Lecture Series-2nd Episode
DESCRIPTION:🚨ATTENTION:The future of space is NOT just written in orbit. It’s built from the ground up. \nWhen we think of the space sector\, we often focus on the established powers leading the charge. But as humanity moves toward a multiplanetary future\, true sustainability requires inclusive legal frameworks built by non-traditional voices and emerging nations.🛰️ \nIn partnership with International Moon Day\, Farah Law School presents an inspiring\, must-attend session in our Second Episode from the 4th Virtual Lecture Series: \n🌌 THEME: “Escalating The Moon Exploration Opportunities for Emerging Space Nations”🌌 SESSION TOPIC: Episode 2: “Governance from the Ground Up: The Bolivia Moon Agreement and Inclusive Lunar Frameworks” \nIndigenous communities in Bolivia produced a lunar governance framework “The Bolivia Moon Agreement”\, with no formal legal background\, drawing instead on their lived experience and governance failures in the Amazon\, and their diverse fields\, from ecology and medicine to business. It’s a living example of space governance built by non-traditional voices\, which speaks directly to the inclusivity your series champions. Plus\, it centers young people as the co-architects of the multiplanetary future they will inherit. \n🎤 SPEAKER: Dr. Lakshmi Karan\, Co-founder of LunArcDr. Lakshmi Karan is the co-founder of LunARC\, working to make space exploration inclusive and accessible. Her multiple careers span the technology\, philanthropy and social innovation sectors\, giving her a rare fluency in both technological and social systems. She holds degrees in Mathematics\, Systems Management\, and International Law & Diplomacy\, plus a Ph.D. in International Relations\, and has led teams across the Americas\, Asia\, and Africa. \n🎤 MODERATOR: Ms. Farah Diya Yasmine\, President of Farah Law School \n🚀 SAVE THE DATE AND TIME:📅 Date: Sunday\, August 23\, 2026⏰Time: 7:00 PM GMT+7 (Western Indonesian Time)📍Where: Zoom Meeting \n⚠️ WARNING: LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE! SECURE YOUR COSMIC SPOT IMMEDIATELY. \n🔗Register Now: https://bit.ly/farahlawschool4 (or scan the QR code on the poster for instant access). Registration closes 24 hours before the session begins. \nThis is a GLOBAL CLASS and registration is FREE—open to everyone from Madura\, all across Indonesia\, and the international community. SUMMARY:Cultural Considerations WG & GEGSLA webinar - Choreographies of presence: Deconstructing the Lunar Anthropocene
DESCRIPTION:Introduction by Christopher Cokinos“The Moon is not a fixed\, ahistorical entity awaiting discovery; it is a space in continuous becoming—a site of simultaneous\, intersecting trajectories that is never finished and never closed. This presentation draws centrally upon Doreen Massey’s reconceptualisation of space. In For Space (Massey\, 2005)\, she posits three foundational propositions: space is the product of interrelations; space is the sphere of the possibility of the existence ofmultiplicity (contemporaneous plurality); and space is always under construction… Human presence on the Moon is not merely an inscription upon a surface; it is a relational event that reconfigures the Moon’s ontological status. The “choreography” of this presence is not a script directed by a single author\, but an emergent property of multiple actors—robotic missions\, legal frameworks\, and artistic gestures—intersecting in a space that is continuously being made.” (Ulpia-Elena Botezatu) \n\n\n\nDr. Ulpia-Elena Botezatu holds a PhD in Engineering and an LL.M. in European & International Law\, bridging technical expertise with legal and policy acumen in space affairs. She is a Space Policy Officer at the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) and serves as a Delegate to UN COPUOS\, ESA\, and EU COM. Her leadership roles include serving as theformer Chair of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee (STSc) of UN COPUOS (2024-2026) and as the current Co-Chair of the Action Team on Lunar Activities Consultation (ATLAC). Additionally\, she acts as the GEGSLA Implementation Support Officer for the Moon Village Association. Drawing on a background in poststructuralist urban studies\, Dr. Botezatu’s work focuses on the intersection of space technology and international law\, with a keen interest in the cultural\, ethical\, and spatial dimensions of humanity’s expansion into outer space. \n\n\n\nRegister on Zoom\n\n\n\nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_1gbWVMqaTO2x8-ytwHhjkA

SUMMARY:Mater Temporis: Lunar Manifestations of Terrestrial Art
DESCRIPTION:Mater Temporis: Lunar Manifestations of Terrestrial Art is an international online panel organised by Moon Village Centre Bulgaria. \nThe panel advances a central proposition: that the Moon is humanity’s primordial temporal regulator\, the origin of the calendar\, and the organiser of sacred time across civilisations. The drive to return to the Moon is not purely technological. Lunar art is the most honest expression of why humanity wants to go back. \nThe discussion moves across three registers: the deep cultural and mythological roots of lunar symbolism; the role of contemporary space art in articulating what exploration means beyond technical achievement; and the materialisation of this arc in artworks that have physically left Earth and entered orbit. \nConfirmed panelists:\nLuis Bernardo Guzmán\, Radix Lucis Studio (UK)\nChristopher Cokinos\, Moon Village Association (USA)\nRemo Rapetti\, Moon Village Association (Italy)\nAnna Sitnikova\, Moon Gallery Foundation (Netherlands)\nAnnick Bureaud\, Art critic and curator (France)\nMarcus Neustetter\, Artist and Space Art Practitioner (South Africa) \nModerated by Dr. Ivelina Kadiri\, Moon Village Centre Bulgaria
